County School of Dance
Competition and Performances
The Nutcracker

Performed every December at the Regent Theatre in Picton. We have 2 shows for the public and one show for Public Schools on a Monday.
Competitions
Muskoka Ballet Gala
is a scholarship fundraiser which includes competitions, workshops with National Ballet and other reknowned teachers and Gala performances. It is an educational event, teaching children what a dancer's theatre life is like as they work through staging and dress rehearsals in a professional setting, culminating in their Gala performances with stars of the ballet world from across Canada. There is the opportunity for them to present their own choreographic work! All proceeds are donated to our scholarship fund for County School of Dance students.
The Toronto Kiwanis Festival
is held in Richmond Hill in early April. Well run and reasonably priced this Festival showcases a diverse array of dance styles and offers an excellent scholarship awards program.

Community Service Events
It is our goal to provide the students ample performance opportunities and teach them the value of community service. Each May we travel to Senior citizen homes in the County, Belleville and surrounding area to put on performances for their residents.
We also performe lecture demonstrations at area schools and perform in community fundraisers and National holiday events, such as Canada Day.
Year end Showcase
Each year in June we performe at the Regent Theatre in Picton for our Year end Showcase. Every student performs his/her dance, group numbers, solo's duets or trios and their own choreographed dances. All Students receive an award for their achievements at the conclusion of the performance.
